Answer:

angiosperms vs. gymnosperms

Step-by-step explanation:

difference:

gymnosperms

- seeds are formed in unisexual cones (strobili) but isn't surrounded by a protective fruut

- ranging from large woody trees and shrubs

- adapted to thrive in environments with long cold winters and low amounts of nutrients in their soil.

angiosperms

- seeds develop in the ovaries of flowers and is surrounded by a protective fruit

- contain conducting tissues known as vessels

- include trees, grasses, vegetables, wildflowers and herbs.

- adapted to facilitate seed dispersal.

similarities:

- both use pollen for fertilization

- both have xylem and phloem

benefits:

gymnosperms

- provide fiber for making paper and wood.

angiosperms

- flowering plants; helps produce the oxygen we breathe, along with fruit, vegetables, herbs and seeds.

Angiosperms are flowering plants that have their seeds enclosed within the fruits. Gymnosperms, on the other hand, do not bear flower and fruits and the seeds are exposed on the surface of leaves or scales.
