  • Let breadth of rectangle be x cm

Using formula;

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B)

Where;

  • L denotes length of rectangle
  • B denotes a breadth of rectangle

We have;

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 32 cm
  • Length of rectangle (L) = 3x
  • Breadth of rectangle (B) = x

By putting all values in formula we get;

→ 2(3x + x) = 32

→ 2(4x) = 32

→ 2 × 4x = 32

→ 8x = 32

→ x = 32/8

After dividing 32 with 8, we get;

x = 4

  • Length (L) = 3x = 3 × 4 = 12 cm
  • Breadth (B) = x = 4 cm

Now, using formula;
