How can it be summer in America and winter in Australia at the same time?

Answer: Because of the earth being tilted.

Explanation: in the winter, the South Pole is tilted toward the Sun, therefore the days in Australia are longer and warmer than in North America, which is located on the Northern Hemisphere.

Answer: i believe the reasoning for that lad is because since the earth is a sphere if you were to take a globe you would see that america is infront of you and you cant see austrlia so if you where the sun it wouldnt be touching austalia because they are across from each other.
