t=219/56 or 3.91

Explanation:

t-5=-12.2(4-t)

t - 5 = -48.8 + 12.2t

move the variables to the left of the equal sign by subtracting 12.2t from both sides. move the numbers to the right of the equal sign by adding 5 to both sides.

-11.2t = -48.8 + 5 ( -48.8 + 5.0 = -43.8)

-11.2t = -43.8 (divide -11.2 to both sides to get the variable by itself)

t = 219/56 or if u divide 56 into 219, 3.91
