Let the smaller number be 'x'

Let the larger number be 'x+6'

Given sum =50

Now by ordering them in position,

`x + x + 6 = 50`

`= > 2x + 6 = 50`

`= > 2x = 50 - 6`

`= > 2x = 44`

`= > x = (44)/(2)`

`= > x = 22`

So, the smaller number is 22, therefore the larger number is :-

`x + 6`

`= > (22) + 6`

`= > 28`

Therefore, the numbers are 22 and 28
