The foil method is (a+b)(c+d) = ac + ad + bc + bd

So: (3x+2)(x-7) = 3x * x, + 3x * (-7), + 2 * x, + 2 * (-7)

We can simplify to: 3x^2 -21x + 2x -14; btw, ^ is squared so, x^2, is x squared

Then we can add -21x and 2x because they are like terms:

3x^2 - 19x - 14
