A father is three times as old as his son, and his daughter is 3 years younger than the son,if the sum of their ages three years ago is 63 years. find the present age of the father

Answer:

if x=father

z=son

y=daughter

(x-3)+(z-3)+(y-3)=63

x+z+y-9=63

x+z+y=72

3z+z+z-3=72

5z-3=72

5z=72+3

5z/5=75/5

z=15

x=3z

x=3(15)

x=45

so the fathers age is 45
