1. -9p - 17 = 10

-9p = 10 + 17

-9p = 27

p = -3

2. w/4 - 4 = 3

w/4 = 3 + 4

w/4 = 7

w = 7 · 4

w = 28

3. x/5 + 6 = 10

x/5 = 10 - 6

x/5 = 4

x = 4 · 5

x = 20

4. -2(m - 30) = -6m

-2m + 60 = -6m

-2m + 6m = -60

4m = -60

m = -15

5. 3.75 + 3.7 = 1.7 + 1.75x

1.75x = 3.75 + 3.7 - 1.7

1.75x = 5.75

x = 23/7

6. -6 - 7(c + 10)

= -6 -7c - 70

= -76 - 7c

7. 2x + 3(x - 2) - 2(x - 6)

= 2x + 3x - 6 - 2x + 12

= 3x + 6

8. c + 6 -3

= c + 3

10. -5p > -30

p < 6

13. 29 - 5x = 4; $5.00

14. 64 + w = 2w + 8; 56 pounds

For Q#5, 7, 8, and 10, I got a different answer from the one you provided. I did it the way I was taught to do it, which might be different from what you were taught. Sorry about that; I tried my best.
