John wants to join a gym so that he can work out during the evenings. There are two gyms in his town that he is considering. Extreme Fitness charges a $50 signup fee and then $10 per month. Ultimate Fitness charges a $30 initiation fee and then $15 per month. Extreme Fitness is closer to John’s home and has more equipment than Ultimate Fitness.

Part A: Write two equations in slope intercept form that models the cost, y, of the membership in months, x, for Extreme Fitness and Ultimate fitness.

Answer:

It would be 4 months because with extreme fitness 10x4=40 then 40+50=90 then for ultimate fitness 15x4=60 then 60+30=90 so I took 4 months for both memberships to be the same
