Given:

Starting point = (0,0)

First ride = (0,4)

Second ride = (3,0)

In map, each unit = 100 ft

To find:

The actual distance between first and second ride.

Solution:

Distance formula: Distance between two points is

d=√((x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2)

Using the distance formula, we get the distance between first ride and second ride in the map is

d=√((3-0)^2+(0-4)^2)

d=√(9+16)

d=√(25)

d=5

So, the distance between first ride and second ride in the map is 5 units.

We have,

1 units = 100 ft

5 units = 500 ft

The actual distance between first and second ride is 500 ft.

Therefore, the correct option is C.
