The Sixth Amendment says that a person who is accused of a crime has the right to a jury trial. In a jury trial, regular citizens determine if the accused person is guilty or not guilty. Which of the following might happen if citizens did not have this right?

1. The government might be able to send an accused person to jail for unfair reasons.

2. It might be easier for suspects who are guilty of crimes to win their cases and go free.
3. Police might not be able to arrest suspects for crimes, even if they had proper evidence.

4. It might be impossible to keep records of everything that was said during the course of a trial.

1. "The goverment might be able to send an accused person to jail for unfair reasons."

If people can't have the right to a fair trial, anyone could be in jail for no reason.
