The length of a rectangle is 9cm more than four times the width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 78 cm, what are its dimensions

Length is 32. 6 cm and width is 5.9 cm

Explanation:

width(w)=w

perimeter(p)=78 cm

length(L) = 4w+9

p=2L+2w

78=2(4w+9)+2w

78=8w + 19 + 2w

10w=59

w=5.9 cm

L=4w+9

L=4(5.9)+9

L=32.6 cm

Therefore length is 32.6 cm and width is 5.9 cm
