x=1.65

Explanation:

First switch sides

4x-8=3.6-2-3

Then subtract 3.6 - 2 - 3

4x-8=-1.4

Add 8 to both sides

4x-8+8=-1.4+8

simplify

4x=6.6

Divide both sides by 4

4x/4 - 6.6/4

The simplify again

x=1.65
