Answer: 40
You can find the mean for club A by adding up every number in the set and then dividing by the amount of numbers in the data set:
So first we add up 42+38+40+34+37+46+38+45
Which = 320
Now we divide that number by 8 because there are 8 numbers in the data set (all the numbers we added up):
320/8=40
So now we know that the mean age is 40!
