Why does it hurt when you bite your tongue on accident but when you bite it on purpose it doesn't?

It doesn't hurt because you're doing it on purpose so your brain is prepared for the pain because you're expecting it and it's self inflicted

because when you do it on accident it is unintentional and scares you because you werent expecting it. but when you do it on purpose it wont hurt because your brain stops you from doing it so hard that it hurts lol
