What would happen to an animal cell with an internal salt concentration of 0.8% if it were placed in a salt solution with a concentration of 0.2%? Why?

This simply explain the concept of osmosis. A solution of 0.8% is lower in conc. (hypotonic)compare to that of 0..2%(hypertonic)Therefore, the inner cells layer would lose water to higher hypertonic concentrated medium.
