Answer: Posters during the War effort were multifaceted, but thematic. They were a State sanctioned effort to glorify life in the branches of the U.S. military while vilifying axis propaganda. Common examples include: “Buy War Bonds”, “Loose Lips Sink Ships”, “Fight For Freedom And Democracy”, and “Join And Help Him”. Too often they over-emphasized powerful- if misguided- glorification of U.S. military heroism, honor, duty, etc..
