4x+(−2)(x)+(−2)(−4)=−3+4x+5

4x+−2x+8=−3+4x+5

(4x+−2x)+(8)=(4x)+(−3+5)

2x+8=4x+2

2x+8−4x=4x+2−4x

−2x+8=2

−2x+8−8=2−8

−2x=−6

−2x /−2 = −6 /−2

x=3
