The seven year war (or as we know it in the USA) is a war fought between Great Britain and the French and their Indian allies. the war (although many people believe it was fought between the French and Indians which was not true) was a war for US territory. The British won which would force the French to leave. After the war Great Britain was in debt so in order to pay of this debt they started taxing the colonies.
