A builder makes staircases where each step is 28 cm long and rises 18 cm so people don't trip. Every staircase has a stringer - a diagonal support connecting all of the steps.​

Depends on what the question is asking for, I’m assuming the question is asking for the length of one stringer and assuming that the interior angle is 90 degrees. If so the length of the stringer is as shown in the following image :)
