Answer:

f(3)=23

Explanation:

f(x) = 2x² +5√(x-2)

Plug in 3 for all the x values.

f(3)=2(3)^2 +5√(3-2)

f(3)=2(9)+5√(1)

Next multiply 2 and 9

Remember the square root of 1 is 1.

f(3)=18+5(1)

5*1=5

f(3)=18+5=23

f(3)=23

Hope this helps!

If not, I am sorry.

We just replace the "x" with the starting number (in this case "3").

f(3) \: = \: 2(3) ^(2) \: + \: 5 √(3 \: - \: 2)

f(3) \: = \: 2 \: * \: 9 \: + \: 5 √(1)

f(3) \: = \: 18 \: + \: 5 \: * \: 1

f(3) \: = \: 18 \: + \: 5

f(3) \: = \: \boxed{ \bold{23}}
