As you know people are held for years before

they are executed when given the death penalty.
Do
you
think it is cruel and unusual for a person
to sit on death row for years before being
executed? Do you think it benefit society or the
family of the individuals wronged to have person
to stay alive for so long after such heinous crimes
have been committed? Feel free to agree or
disagree. Explain you view.

I think it is cruel and unusual for someone on death penalty to wait that long before being executed when said person should just be executed as soon as they are placed in the prison. It does not benefit the victim of the crime or the family because they have not yet gotten justice of said crime. In my opinion who ever is on the death penalty should be executed as soon as they are placed in the prison instead of sitting in a cell for the amount of chosen time.
