work backward

add 12 and add 15 from x

(x+12)(x+15)

then solve this

x*x=x^2

x*+15=15x

12*x=12x

12*15=180

now put it all together

x^2+15x+12x+180

then simplify

x2+27x+180

(x+12)(x+15)

Then solve again to try it.

x+12=0

x+15=0

x=-12

x=-15
