So I am assuming we’re solving for a?
If so,
|(6/-a) - 2 | = 25

|(6/-a)| = 25 + 2

|(6/-a)| = 27
Multiply both sides of equation by -a and you get

6 = 27a
(6/27) = a
0.222 = a

So, we can check by plugging 0.222 in the original equation,

|(6/-0.222) - 2 |=25
|27-2|=25
25=25 which is correct
