How did Marco Polo's travels change how other Europeans thought of the rest of the world?

Because Marco Polo traveled with his uncle around the world he wrote a Journal describing all the things he saw and, when he published it, it helped other travelers know more about that place. It also might have inspired more people to travel that place. I’m sorry if I am wrong that is just what I remember from school and I did some research, tell me if I’m wrong
