Question: Figure A below was dilated to form Figure B. Determine if this was an expansion or contraction, and find the value of the missing sides .

Triangle A: 7, 8, 10 (smaller)
Triangle B: 14, n, m (bigger)
m= ___
n= ____
Please help me find the answers for m and n. This is crucial to my grade and I already have a 100%.

This was an expension. Figure B is larger than figure A. You can tell that from the first entries.

A: first entry 7

B: first entry 14

Beginning statement: Figure A was dilated to form figure B.

So B is twice as large as A

m = 20

n = 16
