Answer: 6

a÷6 = 1

6*(a÷6) = 6*1 ... multiply both sides by 6

(6a)÷6 = 6

(6÷6)a = 6

(1)a = 6

a = 6

Replace 'a' with 6 and we see that,

Which is a true statement. Dividing any number but zero over itself is always 1.
