Answer:

She ran 7.5 laps

Explanation:

Given that:

Total Distance Covered = d = 3 and 3/4 miles

that is:
3(3)/(4) = (15)/(4)\ miles

Distance per mile = l = 1/2 miles

In order to find the number of laps, we have to simply divide the total distance covered by number of miles in one lap.

Let n be the number of laps then

Number\ of\ laps = (Total\ distance)/(Distance\ of\ one\ mile)\\n = (d)/(l)\\n = ((15)/(4))/((1)/(2))\\Using\ ((a)/(b))/((c)/(d)) => (a)/(b) * (d)/(c)\\n = (15)/(4) * (2)/(1)\\n = (30)/(4)\\n = 7.5\ laps

Hence,

She ran 7.5 laps
