divide both sides by -9, it becomes 2x-3=-7.
move the constant (-3) to right side of the question and change it to a positive, so it becomes 2x=-7+3.
well -7+3=-4, so we can put -4 into the equation instead and it becomes 2x=-4.
then you divide both sides by 2, and -4 divided by 2 is -2.
