Complementary and supplementary both describe an angle relationship. Complementary angles are angles that when added are equal to 90 degrees, (right angle). Supplementary angles are angles that when added together are equal to 180 degrees, (straight line). Two angles do not have to be adjacent to be complementary or supplementary.
