The perpendicular line of y=3x-8 is y=-x/3+b. So our answer is -x/3 or (-1/3)x. But if you would like to see the y-intercept. We simply substitute, 1=3(6)+b. After evaluation the y-intercept is -17. Therefore, our full equation is: y=-x/3-17.

Hope this helped!
