  • Rectangle have all angles same where as parallelogram have two pair of angles same
  • Rectangle has each angle of measure 90° where as parallelogram may or may not have

Answer:

Similarities between a parallelogram and a rectangle

  • Quadrilateral (4-sided, two dimensional shape)
  • Opposite sides are equal and parallel to each other
  • Sum of all the interior angles is 360°
  • Diagonals bisect each other
  • Adjacent angles are supplementary (sum to 180°)
  • Opposite angles are equal

Differences between a parallelogram and a rectangle

  • A rectangle has four equal interior angles (each are 90°) whereas only the opposite angles in a parallelogram are equal.
  • The diagonals of a rectangle are equal in length, whereas the diagonals of a parallelogram are not equal in length.

All rectangles are parallelograms since the opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel, but all parallelograms are not rectangles.
