Well you know that 2x + 2y = 37

We already have one value which we can substitute for a variable:

(2 x 10) + 2y = 37

20 + 2y = 37

2y = 17

y = 8.5

So the length is 8.5 inches

Hope this helps! Any questions let me know :)
