Answer:

B

Explanation:

the slope of a line is a measure of its rate of change

the equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

y = 2x - 4 ← is in slope- intercept form

with slope m = 2 and y- intercept c = - 4

calculate the slope of the function represented in the table using the slope formula

m =
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (0, - 4) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, - 3) ← 2 ordered pairs from the table

m =
(-3-(-4))/(2-0) =
(-3+4)/(2) =
(1)/(2)

the y- intercept is on the y- axis where x = 0

from the table the point (0, - 4 ) has x = 0 , then c = - 4

Thus the 2 functions have the same y- intercepts but different rates of change , that is option B
