Answer:

The house slaves have to live with their masters in the same house. They have to dress in the same manner as their masters (many of these clothes were hand-me-downs from their masters) and eat their masters' leftover. They were also not required to rise up as early as the field hands did. It was also included in their tasks to take care of their masters' children aside from doing the household chores (cooking, cleaning, washing the dishes, etc.).

Step-by-step explanation:

The slaves were primarily divided into two: the house slaves and the field slaves/field hands. As their name imply, the house slaves were slaves inside the house while the field slaves were slaves in the plantation field. The house slaves were expected to be always close with their masters, thus, they have to live with him inside the house. The field slaves were majority of the black people's population. They were only given one outfit every year and were eating out of the rations given to them by their masters.
