f’(b)-f’(a)/(a-b)

In this case; a = 2 and b = 10

So we have the following;

f’(x) = 4t + 1

f’(10) = 4(10) + 1 = 41

f’(2) = 4(2) + 1 = 9

So we have the average speed change as;

(41-9)/(10-2)

= 32/8 = 4
