Answer:

8 and 17

Explanation:

a = b + 9 Eq. 1

a + b = 25 Eq. 2

Replacing Eq. 1 on Eq. 2

(b+9) + b = 25

2b + 9 = 25

2b = 25 - 9

2b = 16

b = 16/2

b = 8

from the Eq. 1

a = b + 9

a = 8 + 9

a = 17

Check:

from the Eq 2

a + b = 25

17 + 8 = 25
