Base = 126 cm or 60 cm

Explanation:

Ratio of sides of isosceles triangle = 4 : 7

Sides are = 4x , 7x

If smallest sides of the isosceles triangle are equal, then

three sides are = 4x , 4x , 7x

Perimeter = 270 cm

4x + 4x + 7x = 270

15x = 270

x = 270/15

x = 18

Base = 7x = 7*18 = 126 cm

If largest sides of the isosceles triangle are equal, then

Three sides are = 7x , 7x , 4x

7x + 7x +4x = 270

18x = 270

x = 270/18

x = 15

Base = 4x = 4 * 15 = 60 cm
