The equation of line M is 2y-10x+3=0

Answer: they aren't parallel

Explanation:

2y-10x+3=0

2(5x+1)-10x+3=0

10x+2-10x+3=0

10x+5-10x=0

0x+5=0

Explanation:

We can rearrange line M so it is in y = mx + b form.

2y - 10x + 3 = 0 -> 2y = 10x - 3 -> y = 5x -3/2. Since line L and line M have the same slope (which is the m value, 5), they are parallel.

I hope this helps! :)
