If: x² - y² = 60 and x+y= 5√6, Then x-y=....
I need an explanation of the answer please...​

Answer: 2√6

x² - y² can be factored as (x+y)(x-y), so we can write x² - y² = (x+y)(x-y). Plugging the values we already know for x² - y² and (x+y), we have 60 = 5√6 (x-y), so (x-y) = 60/(5√6) = 2√6.
