Answer:

\textsf {See below :}

Explanation:

\textsf {Question 1}\\

\textsf {The only difference in a leap year is that February will have 29 days.}

\implies \textsf {Days in May, June, July = 31 + 30 + 31 = 92}

\implies \textsf {Days in January, February, March = 31 + 29 + 31 = 91}

\implies \textsf {Difference = 92 - 91 = 1}

\textsf {There is 1 more day in May, June, and July combined than}\\\textsf {in January, February, and March combined in a leap year.}}

\textsf {Question 2}

\textsf {Oil used in making 1 curry = 2(15) = 30 ml}

\textsf {Full bottle = 8 curries + 10 ml}

\textsf {Full bottle = 8(30) + 10}

\textsf {Full bottle = 240 + 10}

\textsf {Full bottle = 250 ml}

Answer:

1) one more day

2) 250 ml

Explanation:

in a leap year-

may = 31 days

june = 30 days

july = 31 days

(92 days)

january = 31 days

february = 29 days

march = 31

(91 days)

so, there is 1 more day.

------

to solve, I will write the value of 2 tablespoons as 30 ml (using the conversion rate provided)

so, 1 curry uses 30 ml.

If you have made 8 curries, you have used 240 (8 × 30 = 240) ml

If you have 10mls left over, that means the full bottle has

used + 10 mls

and we know that we have used 240, so in a full bottle,

there must be 250 (240 + 10) ml

250 ml

hope this helps!! :)
