Explanation:

  • g(x) = x²- x - 6
  • g(x) = x²- 2*1*1/2x + (1/2)² - (1/2)²-6
  • g(x) = (x - 1/2)² - 6 1/4
  • or
  • g(x) = (x - 1/2)² - 25/4
