1. 2x+20+x+60

2. Combine like factors (x' s, and 20+60)

3. 3x+80

4. divide 80 from 3 (80/3)

5. 26.6

Explanation:

I don't understand, but I think you mean 2x + 20 = x + 60

So that's what I'm going to solve for if that's wrong tell me what you mean.

2x + 20 = x + 60 (subtract 20 on both sides)

2x = x + 40 (subtract x on both sides)

x = 40
