On the first visit to the veterinarian's office, Cora's kitten weighed 550 grams. On the second visit, the kitten had gained 350 grams. On the third visit, the kitten had gained another 300 grams.

What is the percent increase since the first visit in the kitten’s weight rounded to the nearest percent?

Answer:

The kitten has gained a 218% more weight since the first visit to the vet.

Explanation:

In order to get the percentage the kitten has gained you have to add all the weight together and divide the first visit by the total weight.

TO find the total weight is found by adding all the weights together:

550 + 350 + 300 = 1200

now we divide 1200 by 550 to get a decimal which allows us to find the percentage:

1200 / 550 = 2.18181818182

now we multiply 0.45833333333 by 100 to turn the decimal to a percentage:

2.18181818182 * 100 = 218.181818182%

Now we round up to the nearest percentage which is:

218.181818182% = 218%

Answer:

118%

Explanation:

550 grams and 300+350 grams = 650 grams

650/550 grams x 100 = 118.18

So 118.18 % rounded is 118%

Hope this helps plz hit the crown :D
