x = 43 1/3 degrees

Explanation:

sum of interior angles in a triangle = 180 degrees

30 + (3x - 9) + 29 = 180

30 + 29 + (3x - 9) = 180

59 + (3x - 9) = 180

(3x - 9) = 180 - 59

(3x - 9) = 121

3x = 121 + 9

3x = 130

x = 43 1/3
