PLEASE HELP URGENT: Include work, it's required for credit

Solve the word problem using a proportion: If 4 dogs eat 6 cups of dog food every day, how much food would be needed for 6 dogs?

Answer:

Explanation:

The answer is 9 because each dog is eating 1.5 or 1 1/2 cups of dog food to get the 1.5 or 1 1/2 you must divide 6 by 4.

Now take that 1 1/2 and multiply it by 2 since where adding two dogs that equals 3

3 + 6 =9

6 cups and 6 dogs so you multiply and 6x6 is 36.
