Answer:

SomeStrong, smart, interesting, well-placed words allow the reader experience the feelings and intentions of the writer. Choosing the best words for their importance, their connotations, their tones, and their presence. Therefore I think that the meaning and words that was chosen behind the poem is effective.

For instance, the reader can almost see the character Chuck Keller, described with "his t-shirt riding up over his gut." Also, familiar words from the game of baseball, such as "pop-ups and grounders," remind the reader of the joys of being young and playing games. Finally, by using humor to tackle the theme of fitting in, the author creates a balance of seriousness and fun that anyone would enjoy.
