18 girls

Because you have to add the 5 and 6 to get 11. And then you divide the total amount of students (33) by the 11 you got earlier which you get a 3 from.Then you multiply the 3 times the number of girls (6) to get 18 girls. And you would multiply the 3 times the 5 if you wanted to find the number of boys in the art class.
