After living in his house for 15 years, a man sold it for Rs. 7,000 profit and purchased a new

one for Rs. 1,000 more than twice the selling price of his old one. If the new house cost 3 times
the original price of the old one, what did he pay for each?

He paid 5,000 for the old home, which was the original price of it.

And he paid 15,000 for the new home.

Explanation

Twice the selling price of his old one, the selling price was 7,000

7,000 * 2 = 14000.

14000 + 1000 = 15000.

15,000 is three times more than he originally paid for his old home.
