Answer: x= 0

Explanation:

5x + 4 = 2(x + 2) First distribute on the right side of the equation

5x + 4 = 2x + 4 Subtract 2x from both sides

-2x -2x

3x + 4 = 4 Subtract 4 from both sides

-4 -4

3x = 0 Divide both side by 3

x = 0
